Elaine and Justin are two creatives from the USA, who decided to take on the challenge and plan a Palácio Marqueses de Fronteira wedding in Lisbon, Portugal. So practically the other side of the world. We knew it from the first second we met them that we can expect an amazing party, but honestly we never thought that they’ll explode the dance floor the way they did!
The hashtag they created for their Lisbon destination wedding, #startedwithtequilanowwehere might have given us a hunch, but we were still amazed! :) No wonder why we had to include so many party pictures… And just look at their wedding videos! And talking about videos… Elaine and Justin are both working in the video industry (Droneworks Studios – you might even have come across this: HUMAN FLYING DRONE – YouTube ) so we have to admit, we worked on their wedding videos until the last minute and had far too many butterflies in our stomach the moment we sent them the files…

Palácio Marqueses de Fronteira
Palácio Marqueses de Fronteira, or The Fronteira Palace if you wish, is one of the most unique wedding venues in Lisbon. It is located right in the heart of the city, in the middle of the amazing Monsanto gardens.
“The Fronteira palace (cca. 1670) is one of the most beautiful seventeenth-century monuments in Lisbon. It holds the largest collection of seventeenth-century “azulejos” (Portuguese tiles) preserved in situ.
The palace is an ancient manor house preserved in a form very close to its original design. Classified as a national monument, it is also the home of the descendants of Dom João de Mascarenhas, the first Marquis of Fronteira, who ordered the construction of the palace.
