A “trash the dress” session deep in the Azorean mountains.
SARAH & JASON | DAY AFTER
-
COUNTRY:AZORES, PORTUGAL
-
CITY:SÃO MIGUEL
This is second chapter of our 7 days long alternative Azores wedding adventure we spent with the Canadians, Sarah and Jason in São Miguel, in this past February.
As you could see in their intimate wedding ceremony here, we weren’t bored for a second – and to tell the truth, we actually had the time of our lives as wedding photographers. Mixing “work” and travel is never a bad idea! Mainly if we get to make new some friends, which is the case of Sarah, Jason and their amazing friends and family.
These last images were taken the day after the ceremony of the azores wedding. Both Sarah and Jason (and us) felt somehow “incomplete”, as due to the weather conditions the ceremony couldn’t be held at the spot we first found, so we decided to go back for some more pictures. It was absolutely magical how the wind blew the fog and how the light was changing second to second, it was an absolutely incredible experience! I loved it so much, I could have continued shooting for AGES!!!!! (and we almost literally trashed her dress – but it was soooo worth it!)
But before that the whole group walked up to Miradouro do Pico do Ferro, looking down to Lagoa das Furnas and “finished” the azores wedding ceremony with the petals and the bouquet tossing, as the day before it got dark so quickly, we could hardly pour the champagne at the end of this amazing Azores wedding.
Love the alternative and quirky stlye of Sarah and Jason. Actually, it is definitely worth a mention, Sarah’s pale pink wedding gown is from a wedding dress designer in Barcelona, Spain, MIMETIK BC (dresses for bohemian weddings).
Can´t wait for our next adventure – and being back in the Azores would be a dream for us! Any volunteers? :)
